If it's your first time playing elden ring like me and wants to do this and try to do everything in 1 story run I recommend not getting the gauntlets, I rushed everything and try to get everything on this video without realizing it will affect my quests greatly. Better put some spoilers even if this was long time before the game released now I'm just going to finish the game and get the dlc im on my 3-4 day.

As much as I like the choice of weaponry and armor for this build, one thing that bugs me is the use of a two-handed sword as a Viking. Most of the time, any straight single-handed sword will do because that was what Vikings have historically used. Two-handed greatswords weren't as frequently fielded back then because it would take 5 or 6 whole centuries after the end of the Viking Age for European greatswords to be around the battlefield.

You are promoting a rune selling scam lol these people use Cheat Engine to add the runes and sell you them yikes why pay houndreds of dollars for runes when i can use cheat engine to add 99999999 runes with 1 click.

So heres the thing: strength/arcane builds are meta in the dlc right now and this build got even better because the dlc added a talisman that enhances your damage after a critical hit. Also its really hard to guard break the dlc bosses, thats why everyone is running strength builds.

*FOR THOSE WHO ARE NEW TO THE GAME OR STARTING A FRESH RUN:* You can obtain the Iron Balls within the first 15 minutes of starting a run at the Boilprawn Shack at Liurnia Lakes, make sure to watch a video on how to skip the Stormville Castle, then fight the Big Boggart NPC to obtain the Iron Balls. He is a tough fight but can be cheesed by jumping onto the shack and using a ranged weapon, or luring him to the edge of his territory so that he keeps trying to move back and sneaking hits. Then simply teleport back to the starting grace and actually start your play through. This is a solid guide but he's assuming you're not new to the game and know a decent amount already. For example, the Star Fist is quite far in the game. By doing the method I mentioned above you're able to start from the beginning with Iron Balls, then transition to Star Fist once you reach that point.

I am using this build while playing with my brother and it is fun to watch invaders see the flamberge and expect me melee them but nope just dragon breath, the panic is hilarious.

Converted my own build into a modified version of this that I think is slightly more optimal. (I could be wrong I have run 0 numbers on this.) Stat spread the same but changing out the armor to fingerprint armor, perfumer gloves, and crucible greaves gives you enough armor to hit 51 poise and frees up enough weight to dual Occult Uchigatana and RoB (Would switch out for second Uchi if I had one) with seal so you can offhand RoB and switch over to dual wield for faster bleed proc and higher dps. Big Downside is your Fashion Souls stat goes to 0 as I look ugly as hell lol.
